Official Role-Playing Tournament

The Champion's Tournament

<img:stuff/2237_wiki_help_9y7vcgcflr5.jpg>

Contest Closed

<img:stuff/2237_wiki_help_9y7vcgcflr5.jpg>

Here in Elftown there have been drawing contests, photography contests, colouring contests, prose contests, poetry contests, clothes-designing contests... contests that cater for the interests of this community.

Except one. In a community teeming with Role-players, where is the contest to decide the best? I have seen many people claim to be excellent role-players, only the be disappointed when I saw their skill. I've seen god players, power players and hundreds of Mary Sues. But I have also seen skill, talent, interesting characters and strong role-playing. Now it's time to put that skill and talent to the test.

The Champion's Tournament is a tournament to decide the best Role-player on Elftown. Dare you compete?

Note: Reading the rules would be a wise idea.

The Champion's Tournament will be played in groups rounds, with each player who scores over a certain amount of points continuing to the following round.

The winners will be decided by judges who will follow a set criteria for awarding points. The judge(s) of your particular match will remain anonymous.

Points will be awarded for the originality of your character, as well as role-play skills. You may submit up to three characters to use throughout the tournament.

The winner will receive the colored badge and the participants will receive the green version of it. The badge itself is still a surprise.

<img:stuff/2237_wiki_help_9y7vcgcflr5.jpg>

Attention

We are looking for the best role-player not the strongest character! This isn’t a fighting tournament, where whoever kills the other’s character is the winner – it’s a role-play tournament – the winner will be the best role-player; and as all good role-players know, that doesn’t necessarily mean the one with the strongest character.

And since it's a fair assumption that most people here are into role-playing, why don't you check out Text Adventures? If you've got an RP of your own, and you want members, add it!

2006-09-07 [Silverbullet]: In my defense, I didn't forget mine! I was just making a comment about those who did ^__________^

2006-09-08 [Firous]: I haven't forgotten either. I know all three of my entries.

2006-09-08 [Silverbullet]: Nuhun! I haven't forgotten more! XP

2006-09-08 [Kai Crewger]: yeah, but one of the judges was saying something about how your bios were incomplete, baka-san

2006-09-08 [Faulty Limerence]: 1. I didn't forget the character, I forgot the name. I tend to use many variations of the same names wiht my characters and I've made a LOT of characters.
2. What the hell? (To Kai)

2006-09-08 [Kai Crewger]: all I did was put up the bios that you had on the character pages of wherever. you were supposed to edit them more, but didn't get around to it
Camus Mizrahi was one...

2006-09-08 [Faulty Limerence]: That's the only one that I planned on entering, because of sloth, so what's incomplete about it?

2006-09-08 [Kai Crewger]: Cam Schrodinger and Seph Caim were the other two that I put up, I think.

2006-09-08 [Faulty Limerence]: Yeah those two never got finished. But you keep leaving my question unanswered. What's incomplete about Camus?

2006-09-08 [Kai Crewger]: I think they were just talking about the other two. and you need to send in a bio for sky castles

2006-09-08 [Faulty Limerence]: Eep. Oh yeah. I'll work on that now.

2006-09-08 [Jeesum Crowe]: *farts*

2006-09-08 [Faulty Limerence]: o_O

2006-09-09 [Jeesum Crowe]: Sorry I don't like not having a comment up for too long.

2006-09-09 [Faulty Limerence]: This coming from the "shusher"?

2006-09-09 [Paul Doyle]: [Jeesum Crowe], have some of Pauly Yummy Chili, then come back and fart some more :P

2006-09-11 [Jeesum Crowe]: Shushing allows me to have comments up without being pressured to say something substantial. & I don't like chili. DON'T BOTHER ME ABOUT IT! I just don't like the texture of BEANS!

2006-09-11 [Faulty Limerence]: *bother bother bother*

2006-09-11 [Jeesum Crowe]: The BEEEAAAANS!

2006-09-11 [Elisha Kelly]: pull my finger XD

2006-09-11 [Azuri]: hehehe Im suddenly reminded of Potter puppet pals

2006-09-11 [Kai Crewger]: follow the butterflies, follow the butterflies!

2006-09-11 [Jeesum Crowe]: What?

2006-09-11 [Kai Crewger]: go to... I believe it's newgrounds, and search for 'potter puppet pals'. then watch.

2006-09-11 [Kai Crewger]: the part I'm referring to is actually a 'hidden episode' in the second PPP

2006-09-11 [Silverbullet]: hidden episode?!!? Where!! O_o

2006-09-11 [Faulty Limerence]: Kai that's what I was thinking when I said that.

2006-09-11 [Azuri]: Wait theres a hidden one!?*goes off in search*

2006-09-11 [Faulty Limerence]: It's in the flash of the spell.

2006-09-11 [Kai Crewger]: ^^ in the second one, where it was either snape or voldemort casting a spell. look closely at the lightning.

2006-09-11 [Azuri]: hahah mesh I just saw it XD

2006-09-11 [Kai Crewger]: apparently there's a new numa thing too o.o

2006-09-11 [Jeesum Crowe]: Get lives, people.

2006-09-11 [Kai Crewger]: but that takes the fun out of being stupid...

2006-09-11 [Jeesum Crowe]: No it makes being stupid more eventful.

2006-09-11 [Kai Crewger]: meh. I still think having a life is overrated

2006-09-11 [Jeesum Crowe]: How do you know?

2006-09-11 [Azuri]: I agree with Kai. I have no life and Im more happy than most of the people I know who do have a life.

2006-09-11 [Jeesum Crowe]: Anyway I was joking.

2006-09-11 [Kai Crewger]: I know because I'm a looooooser :P

2006-09-11 [Zero X]: Hmm..

2006-09-11 [Faulty Limerence]: I have a life...it just consists of talking to you losers over the internet. Which I wouldn't trade for the world, of course.

2006-09-11 [Azuri]: Lol same same, but most people dont really consider that a life lol.

2006-09-11 [Kai Crewger]: haha, indeed

2006-09-12 [I'm her Georgia *Peach!*]: so-o-oy un PERDEDOR!!! XP I just saw that quote, "I'm a looooooser" ...I was just thinking of that song today, too.

2006-09-12 [Kai Crewger]: o.o that's in a song?

2006-09-12 [I'm her Georgia *Peach!*]: yes. =d "so-o-oy un perdedor!! I'm a loser baby, so why don't you kill me?"

2006-09-12 [Kai Crewger]: ah.

2006-09-12 [Shadow-ofDeath]: Then stop being one, so I don't have to kill you.

2006-09-13 [I'm her Georgia *Peach!*]: *grins*

2006-09-13 [Azuri]: XD Thats a good song >D

2006-09-13 [Jeesum Crowe]: Beck is Jesus on dope.

2006-09-13 [Cassave]: Beck is scientology...that doesn't require dope. 8D

2006-09-14 [Jeesum Crowe]: Beck isn't Scientology. Beck is to Jesus on dope in Christianity as Beck is to Xenu on smack in Scientology. But he's not the religion.

2006-09-14 [Azuri]: scientology is a silly religion anyway

2006-09-14 [Paul Doyle]: Just look at what Scientology did to John Travolta and Tom Cruise. 'Nuff said! o.O

2006-09-14 [Azuri]: Here here! I so agree with that statment but I guess to each their own O.o

2006-09-14 [Jeesum Crowe]: What did it do to Travolta?

2006-09-14 [Azuri]: Same thing it did to Tom Cruise, made him crazy O.o

2006-09-15 [Paul Doyle]: What did it do to Travolta? Hmm. John Travolta did stuff like "Welcome Back, Kotter", "Grease" and "Saturday Night Fever", which are all fine (if lightweight) if you can get past the horrible 1970s fashions. (Easy enough, I think?) So he struggled with his acting career for quite a while, and I guess this must have been the time when he started going way overboard with the Scientology stuff, because after great comeback stuff like "Face/Off" and the Quentin Tarantino flicks, he makes a tribute to L. Ron Hubbard (the SF writer who started the whole Dianetics/Scientology thing in the first place) by making a film out of Hubbard's extremely long, extremely long-winded military SF novel, Battlefield: Earth. Travolta meant well, but the whole thing was one of the biggest genre flops of all time, up there with that David Lynch "Dune" flick starring Sting, from the 1980s. Now if Travolta wasn't so totally Scientologied-out, I don't think there's a snowball's chance in hell he would've touched that stuff with a ten-foot pole. There's a big reason why stuff by Asimov and Arthur C. Clarke and Robert Heinlein are enduring SF classics, and L. Ron Hubbard's stuff isn't. (The quality of the writing, and the exciting concepts.)It's Scientology nuts, and not the SF community, who keep Hubbard's writings in print. Wow, that was long-winded. xD

2006-09-15 [Cassave]: And then there was Isaac Hayes.

2006-09-15 [Rock Thine World]: I thought Dune was quite good... not as good as the book, but it was a huge cult hit, and considering the times, was well done.

2006-09-15 [Jeesum Crowe]: Woah. Since when was Grease 1970s, man? Try '50s. And I'm pretty sure Dune is a big cult movie, and one of only three "big" movies Lynch ever made. And the fact that Travolta BECAME a Scientologist and still is should point to a fascination with science fiction, leading one to believe that religious or not, he'd probably be into it. Anyway, the only reason the Bible is still everywhere is because of the Christian nuts, if everyone stopped believing in God and that, it would probably phase out like ancient mythologies that you're lucky to see a copy of a copy of a copy of a copy of a... text of. It's all relative.

2006-09-15 [iippo]: http://imdb.com/title/tt0077631/ Grease was done '78 so I guess since 1978.

2006-09-15 [Jeesum Crowe]: Grease's costuming was '50s. That would be the fashion of that movie.

2006-09-16 [Cassave]: One thing I noticed about Dune (the book) is that Frank Herbert often changes character viewpoints, sometimes in the same paragraph. I found that rather annoying, but then I am easily confused.

2006-09-16 [Jeesum Crowe]: Take me out of the competition, I'm leaving ET. Peace, ya'll.

2006-09-16 [Anomynous]: Pauly, I don't quite agree with you on that... in the sense that Scientology and Hubbard's novel had no real effect on the poor quality of Travolta's mentioned movie of "Battlefield: Earth".
You see, in show biz you have quite a lot of liberty... basically, you can do whatever you want with a script, no matter what novel you base it on. Now, said novel could have been the worst piece of junk in recorded history, but as long as it had an ounce of a good idea in it, you could build around it. Add the right script to that half-good idea, right acting and proper directing (and, of course, let's not forget the special effects) and you get an excellent movie.
You can make a blockbuster out of a novel by Hubbard, Tolkien or... J. Edgar Hoover, it doesn't matter. At the same time, you could make a fiasco out of an excellent book/script/general idea.

Now, I realise this seems off-topic, but I think acting and Role-playing are closely related and the consistency of a script is important for, say a character bio.

Oh, and... happy trails, Crowe.

2006-09-16 [Azuri]: Ive never read Dune, something about it just never attracted me :/ though i always heard it was good.

Bye bye as well Crowe

2006-09-16 [iippo]: Roger, JC. :(

2006-09-16 [Paul Doyle]: [Cassave], I thought the first Dune book was damn annoying upon first read, because I flipped back and forth to the stuff in the back (the glossary, the royal stuff, and the ecology of Arrakis) but on second reading it all sunk in, and it's stuck with m to this day. Reading the sequels became much easier. Frank Herbert had his flaws (especially in his non-Dune Chronicles stuff) but all in all he was OK.

2006-09-16 [Paul Doyle]: And sorry you're leaving ET, JC, but you've gotta do what you've gotta do. :/

2006-09-16 [Cassave]: I did enjoy Dune as a kid. But recently, I tried reading them again and I couldn't get past the first chapters. I guess my taste in literature kind of changed. On the other hand, I did enjoy reading Jules Verne again, but then it's always fun to check back on the roots 8)

2006-09-17 [Faulty Limerence]: Aw...Why's JC leaving?

2006-09-17 [Azuri]: *shrug* who knows, people leave ET every day unfortunatly

2006-09-17 [Faulty Limerence]: Yeah, but it's JC. She was cool, even if we did argue a lot.

2006-09-19 [Elisha Kelly]: EEEEEK! !__! I lubbed [Jeesum Crowe] who will I share my sofa with now.... *curls up in lonely red velvet sofa chair and sooks*

2006-09-29 [Wes Foxx]: Alright, finally! Oh well, looks like I didn't make it. /shrug least now I dont have to wait :P

2006-09-30 [Fizban]: you guys should totally make an ET announcement on mainstreet if it hasn't already been made lol.

2006-09-30 [Azuri]: I agree with [Fizban]. An announcement would do good to bring attention back to this place.

2006-09-30 [iippo]: Make an announcement on mainstreet that JeesumCrowe left? O_o That sounds... tacky... >_> :P
But it's not news that this thing is proceeding to the next stage. There will be a newsitem in the very end, announcing the winner.

2006-09-30 [Faulty Limerence]: The only people who's attention needs to be directed here are the people participating. And if they didn't have it on watch already, then they should't get a chance anyway.

2006-10-01 [Fizban]: that is the cynical answer I was expecting from someone...

but in all of the rigamarole, I can totally see someone forgetting to watch the contestants pagfe, and not feeling like dealing with the other pages and there endless comments and questions...and ending up never finding out.

I would normally agree...especially if it was but a month tthat this took...but it took half a year to start it. I have concern for some members...>_>

2006-10-01 [Azuri]: Indeed it did take forever and I have to agree with you. Ive forgotten to watch importiant pages before >>

2006-10-01 [iippo]: When you entered the contest, you edited contestants. When you edit a wiki, you automatically watch it. So all entrants are watching that page, unless they pressed the stop watching button -- if they did that, they don't really care to be updated and thus I don't really care either.
It was made very clear that there will be no announcements about when the playing shall commence, so anyone who decided to stop watching the wiki did it knowingly and willingly.

2006-11-13 [xido]: I just want to shamelessly advertise to all members of this contest, especially those in the contestants circle about the Wiki Fiction Roleplay Guild. Those on the final list of Contestants need only apply with a wiki page, but PLEASE COMMENT THAT YOU ARE A FINALIST IN THIS CONTEST, and that XIDO SAID SO!
Wiki Fantasy Roleplay and Wiki Sci-Fi Roleplay
-will

2006-11-13 [iippo]: I wish you didn't do that in caps and h1. >.<;;;;; Ugly comment, make it small and pretty...! >.<

2006-11-27 [xido]: small and pretty reminds me of small and dainty, and small and dainty reminds me of old views of oppressed women, which makes me angry and incites me into passionate scorn upon old blemishing ways.... And so I make large posts in huge fonts, which captivate the eye and are so dynamically American of me in spirit. Oh, the irony...
*pardons self and moves onward, hoping that the rounds shall begin with haste and take exceedingly long amounts of time to carry on and judge, as in the past, noting the irony*

2006-11-27 [Lepellier]: Xido...have you ever read Intensity By Dean Koontz....what you just said reminds me of a line in that book...

2006-11-27 [Paul Doyle]: Adult beauty comes in all shapes and sizes, with many intangibles yet still universal. Misplaced politically correct drivel that's annoying as it is disruptive also comes in all shapes and sizes. There are universal ways of recognizing it, too. So let's get back to the relevant wiki-related subject already---yes? ;-)

2006-11-27 [NamelessMerc]: 0.0; I'm gonna get my ass whooped, I just know it. Lol.

2006-11-27 [Paul Doyle]: Yep, I'm not sure I'm advancing, either xD

2006-11-27 [Lepellier]: I'll agree there...I have my 1 character I didn't think would get past the first round for sure...

2006-11-27 [Kai Crewger]: XD never know until you try! ganbatte, everyone!

2006-11-29 [NamelessMerc]: Aye, bon chance to all!

2006-11-29 [Silverbullet]: Merde for everyone!

P.S. Don't trust your translator for this one ^^

2006-11-29 [Kai Crewger]: hahaha, indeed ^^;

2006-11-29 [Jewl]: Yeah... mine says lake...

2006-11-29 [Silverbullet]: ...what language did you try to translate it from? <img:img/mood/44166_1164145253.gif>

2006-11-29 [NightHawk]: If it's French, then I know well what it is ^^

2006-11-30 [Silverbullet]: Yeah, but you need to be from Quebec to use it in this context ^___^
I was speaking to Jewl, though. How did "Merde" become "Lake"?

2006-11-30 [Kai Crewger]: I can parallel-trans well enough from spanish ^^

2006-11-30 [Cassave]: 8D Back here we also use "Merde" as an equivalent for "break a leg". XD

2006-11-30 [Silverbullet]: Yay for Merde!

2006-12-01 [Jewl]: Sorry, it was Mer Du, not Merde...

2006-12-01 [Silverbullet]: Even then, should've given you "Sea of"...

2006-12-02 [Jewl]: Well, lake of... "body of water"

XD eh, still, I know what it really means now.. *off to change a character name ((Caleni De La Merdesang))* <img:img/mood/44166_1164144892.gif><img:img/mood/44166_1164145209.gif><img:img/mood/44166_1164469620.gif>

2006-12-22 [Silverbullet]: Sooooooooo.... why hasn't anyone notified us of when the RPing rounds will start? I know things will probably be put off a bit longer due to holiday festivities.. but.. I'm pretty sure we're losing participants because of things taking too long!

2006-12-23 [Paul Doyle]: Ah, here we go again :P

2006-12-23 [Elwyne]: I'm just hoping they intend to let us know at all when they're starting (sigh)

2006-12-23 [Azuri]: hopefully O.o

2006-12-23 [deus-ex-machina]: It might be in five seconds... it might be in ten years. You'll know when we know, but rest assured, I'm Christmas tipsy and so I speak fecal matter. Huzzah!

2006-12-23 [iippo]: There will be no way for any participant missing out on their round, except possibly if they do not sign into ET for over a week... which everyone knows they should notify us if that were to happen. But yeah, no point in doing it during everyone's holidayness since everyone's oo busy stressing over stuff. *<:P *glomps deus on the sly*

2006-12-24 [NamelessMerc]: Aye, stress *twitch* like not being able to access an form of Internet for almost a week, without prior notice *twitch*

2006-12-25 [iippo]: o.Ò Do elaborate?

2006-12-25 [Paul Doyle]: "Survivor: Elftown"? :PPP

2006-12-25 [iippo]: ! Thanks Paul! O_O I recall thinking up a project like that and I had utterly forgotten it!

2006-12-30 [xido]: I guess I'm going to need a notification about when we will begin, as when the new year comes in I will have less time for the next portion of the competition. As long as we are notified, I will be okay. Do we have a forum or anything for this?  :}
-will

2006-12-30 [iippo]: Don't worry, you won't miss it. As far as I know there isn't any public forum for this, but don't take this as a hint to make one, people, I'm trying to cut down on forums >_> They take surprisingly huge amounts of time to read through. o.O

2007-01-01 [xido]: <img:44166_1164144921.gif><img:44166_1164469642.gif>
<img:44166_1164469642.gif><img:44166_1164144921.gif>
*frets*

Okkaaaaaaay....  XP I trust you, iippo....  even though you could be leading me into a trap.  <img:44166_1164469631.gif>

<img:stuff/zabuN-gif.gif><img:44166_1164557415.gif>

2007-01-01 [iippo]: If I were leading you to a trap, it woud be a trap you'd like :P

And your face changes colour an awful lot... Consider consulting a doctor about that. :P

2007-01-01 [Lepellier]: It's the side effects of licking too many Chameleons...

2007-01-04 [Just.Kate]: xD

2007-01-17 [iippo]: <continued from contestants> (Talking about presentation in class)
I usually go first if no one else does, because if it seems that no one is going to volunteer, the teacher's just going to make me do it anyway. >_>

2007-01-18 [Aradon Templar]: Usually there are one or two volunteers. If I like my project a lot, I'll go first. Depends on whether or not I like the subject. These days, I don't as much o.O

2007-01-22 [xido]: "iippo: If I were leading you to a trap, it woud be a trap you'd like :P"

I will have faith, I suppose. ;)

"And your face changes colour an awful lot... Consider consulting a doctor about that. :P"

I was thinking about making a set of cool-colored emotions to use on here, each with different faces, but the same colors. :/

It could be from licking the chameleons. People always tell me not to, and I never listen. x.op

2007-02-05 [Grengo]: Well, that was pretty interesting. You guys were really very good.

2007-02-05 [Falx]: Thanks. You too. I had a lot of fun. ^_^

2007-02-05 [Grengo]: "Everyone for themselves", eh? Hmm... not really my style. Just doing this 'cuz I like rping <_<

2007-02-05 [iippo]: Well the tournament's basically rping with "official" recognition. Means you'll be recogniced for contributing to ET by doing what you like doing - just like artists and poets do.

2007-02-05 [Fizban]: whatever the badge is, everyone will get a green version, besides whoever is the winner, will get a colored. Just like all competitions.

2007-02-06 [iippo]: Well ET contests use that phase-thing so the more you donate the more colourful the badge will be -- so in essence: the further you get in the tournament (and thus the more rping you donate to ET), the more colour your badge gets. :)

2007-02-06 [Fizban]: ooh,...I like that..>:)~ *color fiend!* XD

2007-02-12 [deus-ex-machina]: I thought you could only get badges for things I don't like doing and showing people? Drawing... poetry... That kind of naff dross. =D Kidding. But you could get a badge for RPing?! Pish posh. PISH POSH I SAY!

2007-02-13 [iippo]: I've missed you. ^^

2007-02-13 [deus-ex-machina]: <3 muchly = <4! The idea of getting a badge for RPing is awesome though. Considering ET is the only major hub I have seen that seems secure and vaaaaast like bug life. No two bugs are ever the same. Not even the asexual ones. Why? WHY?!? ...Because they have different names. Like 'Bert' and 'Frieda'... I met a sexbug called 'Molly' only yesterday! Yes, RPing in ET is awesome.

2007-02-15 [Elwyne]: I simply enjoy rping, so joining the tournament seemed like a good idea to me. I won't be dissappointed if I don't get a badge, but I will be dissappointed if I get kicked out in the first round I guess.

2007-02-15 [Nite_Owl]: Same here...I've never played with such skilled writers, though, and it was tough competition seeing as how all the people I played with were older than me by at least 3 years (O,o) I really hope I did alright, but I'm not so sure....

2007-02-15 [Kai Crewger]: As long as you did your best, you should be fine. Not much more you can do about it, since it's up to the judges now

2007-02-15 [Shadow-ofDeath]: Let's just hope for fairness, and trust them. If you want to bribe them, give me lots of money and I might put in a good word... not that it would matter XP.

2007-02-16 [Nite_Owl]: Heh, maybe they'll be nice to a fellow Crew member, eh? :P

2007-02-16 [windowframe]: Except half the judges aren't crew. :D

2007-02-16 [Nite_Owl]: Well...*shifty eyes* then the half with the Crew peoples shall help me out, and then I just need to brbibe one other person and ta-da! Instant win! (^,~) Nah, y'all know I'm an integral, honest roleplayer, donchta? ....dontcha...?? (O,o)

2007-02-16 [windowframe]: They can only help you out though, if they're assigned to judge your group. O.o

2007-02-16 [iippo]: Or if they assassinate the other judges, takes their clothes and pretend to be them! :O
A judge roleplaying another judge... :D

2007-02-16 [Delladreing]: ...God damn [iippo] and her psychicness, I was SO going to do that. Now all my plans are ruined :(

2007-02-16 [Lepellier]: *steals random judges clothes* Wait...wasn't there something I was supposed to do before this?

2007-02-16 [Delladreing]: err...so long as its not me yes :P but I'll let you figure that one out.

2007-02-16 [Lepellier]: Here Silvie! <img:2706_1128818519.gif>

2007-02-16 [windowframe]: <.< *hides* >.>

2007-02-16 [Elegy - gone]: :O I read that as 'hinie'!

*is practicing her [iippo] impersonation for after the assassination* >.>

2007-02-17 [Delladreing]: Dear lord, [iippo] why did you have to suggest it? :P

2007-02-17 [Lepellier]: Too give me a good idea!

2007-02-17 [iippo]: *finds her knickers in armyboy's bag* Care to explain? :P

2007-02-17 [Delladreing]: ...why does every wiki I watch always delve in to some form of pervert-ism?

2007-02-17 [iippo]: They do? Oh thank heavens! That means it's you, not me!

2007-02-17 [Delladreing]: Yes but we can't prove this, as you haunt all the wiki and I stalk you :D

Maybe its the combination of us o.O you put us together in one place for too long and people's minds melt from the sheer awesome :P

2007-02-17 [iippo]: We could accomplish many great things with that... Yes, I say great for while the deeds he did were terrible, they were still great... </Harry Potteresque ramble>

2007-02-17 [Delladreing]: lol reminds me, this morning I got sent an e-mail with Harry Potters naked ass on it.

...see! Everything I do like and haunt becomes perverted!

2007-02-17 [Delladreing]: (or well the actor..you know what I mean)

2007-02-17 [Lepellier]: Ummm...you mean these knickers? Those aren't yours...I...uh...found them...somewhere....  >.>

2007-02-17 [iippo]: It says 'iippo' on them.

I'm going to go see Harry Potter's naked ass on stage on wednesday :P

Also, is 'porrige' the way you spell 'porridge' in Scottish? (A friend is claiming this to be so, but I'm doubtful).

2007-02-17 [Lepellier]: Ok, Ok...you got me...as for why you would want to go see Happy Potter naked on stage is beyond me...and the Scottish spelling of 'porrige'...well...I have no idea.

2007-02-17 [Delladreing]: Er, porrige, porridge and porage are all correct o.O

And I'm not sure if I want to see said naked ass :P
I've heard the play is quite disturbing and my mind is already hovering on the verge of a collapse, if I see that it may tip it :P

2007-02-17 [iippo]: Damn, that's just evil. Three different ways of spelling should indicate differences between the object being described. *kicks off a full-fledged investigation of all kinds of porridges in order to make clear and well-defined distinctions between porridge, porrige and porage* You are all welocme to be my test-subjects. "Question 1: does the sample taste like a) porridge, b) porrige, c) porage ?"

2007-02-17 [windowframe]: Now I've read that word too much and it sounds all funny to me. O.o

2007-02-17 [Delladreing]: Well "porage" came from a brand name here in Scotland if that helps. I think there is also a difference based on the oats although I can't tell you that for sure. I know we tend to eat a different kind from down south o.O

2007-02-17 [iippo]: Which one of the words, Silvie? X_x

2007-02-17 [windowframe]: All of them. X_x

2007-02-17 [Azuri]: Poor Silvie, I get that way with words too, seem them too much and they look funny its so evil. I still don't think Poem will ever look right to me again.

2007-06-05 [Lepellier]: So, errr...are we considering this officially dead?

2007-06-05 [Kai Crewger]: o.o it can't be officially dead! it's... official!

2007-06-05 [Silverbullet]: Not to sound pessimistic, but I could have seen this coming XD

2007-06-05 [Lothuriel]: You guys can't be serious!!??!! The last round ended March 11. Now, just think about how many posts the judges have to read through and just how much that needs to be weighed before going on to the next round. Not to mention, these people do have live outside of Elftown...well...at least I think they do.<img:44166_1164903284.gif>

2007-06-05 [Azuri]: Mesh indeed, but you know we are all impatient so we must say something apparently. Anyway I just hope it eventually continues on.

I think people think if they don't say something it really will go dead.

2007-06-05 [ally]: Yes they do have lives. And as I've read those lives are quite busy at the moment.

2007-06-05 [Lothuriel]: <img:stuff/cheshmak.gif>

2007-06-05 [Paul Doyle]: Consider this tournament Undead, and in Torpor. :P

2007-06-05 [Silverbullet]: We were also supposed to gain access to the other teams' pages, so we could read how other people's round went..

2007-06-05 [Kai Crewger]: they'll probably put judging on the pages then open it to everyone. just be patient.

2007-06-05 [Lothuriel]: Actually, [Silverbullet], didn't they decide not to allow access to the other teams' postings until after the competition was over?

2007-06-05 [Azuri]: Mmm perhaps they did but I was under the same impression as [Silverbullet] that we would see them at the end of each round.

2007-06-05 [Lepellier]: I was under the same...

2007-06-05 [Silverbullet]: Aye to Azuri and armyboy. I thought we'd e able to see 'em after everyone had finished their round..

2007-06-06 [Lothuriel]: I honestly can't remember.

2007-06-08 [Sturmi]: Well, while we wait for some results, I'll pass a public utility message: Realms of Lemire Arena is looking for new players. I know there are many talented ones here, so in case you're looking for a game, check this one out.

2007-06-08 [Paul Doyle]: And then when you get inspired creatively by the warmer weather, when you aren't busy, think of coming up with something to enter Warmer Weather Contest :3

2007-06-08 [Sturmi]: it's winter where I live... not very inspiring right now hehe

2008-07-10 [The Scarlet Pumpernickle]: hmm..... wonder if this contest is considered dead yet?

2008-07-10 [windowframe]: er, since it's actively running at the moment, no. -.-

It's just that all the updates happen on the Contestants page - if you want to know what's going on in the contest, you should check there.

2009-01-26 [Mortified Penguin]: Is there gonna be another one of these here contests?

2009-01-26 [windowframe]: Probably, but not for a while.

2010-03-15 [Evolution X]: ..... *cough cough* Hello?

2010-03-15 [windowframe]: Yes? I'm going to preemptively assume that your question is "will there be another tournament soon?" THe answer is no - there will be another tournament, but not for a while. However, there WILL be a different type of RP competition starting in a few days time.

2010-03-15 [Evolution X]: *nod nod* What kind? How can I find out?

2010-03-15 [windowframe]: You can be patient and wait the few days until it's announced. :P

2010-03-15 [Evolution X]: I will either forget or stare blankly at the wall... unfortunatley this is my curse *huffs and crosses my arms* Ah well.

2010-03-15 [windowframe]: There will be a news item to announce the start of it, so hopefully you'll at least see that. :) (also, if you stick Competitions on watch, you'll get a notification of wiki-changes when we update that page to add the contest).

2010-03-15 [Evolution X]: Thank you

2010-03-17 [windowframe]: Character Challenge. ;)
